In the contemporary world, the cost of living is very high in most of the countries across the world, and dual-income is what many households survive on. As a mother of two teenage children who will commence their college studies in three years from now, my partner and I are continually saving for their upcoming school coaching while catering for other bills.  I am looking for a more stable and reliable job due to previous disappointments caused by various instances of layoffs from preceding employers (Dau-Schmidt, Finkin & Covington, 2016). I have previously been an employee in the construction industry, and therefore XYZ corporation appears like a stable organization to work in since a lay-off at the age of thirty-eight years and supporting two children who are about to join college would be not only devastating but also heartbreaking.
