Refusing Treatment
It is possible for an individual to sometimes feel obliged to undertake someone’s responsibility without their volition. It is important to note that medical practitioners are considered to be at the forefront as far as providing health services is concerned. Despite the fact that there exist other health care providers, much of the basic examination of the symptoms and medical services are directly assumed by the medical practitioners. Basically, many sick people usually visit hospitals to seek treatment services from the medical practitioners which they provide according to the best of their knowledge. In the medical profession, offering services to an unwilling patient is considered unethical and always the sick person’s rights ought to always be respected. In a scenario where the patient and the practitioners interests overlap, self-reproach feelings may arise between the parties. Although sick people’s rights should be upheld, it is reasonable to set an extent to which it can be exercised.
