what is the average body temperature? Most people say it is 98.6 °F. Some now claim that it is significantly less than 98.6°F. Your task in this exercise is to conduct a hypothesis test about this claim.
- First, find a data set of at least 30 adult body temperatures on the internet. Include a link to the data or include the data in your post.
- State the null and alternative hypotheses and identify which represents the claim.
- Determine the type of test that you should use: left-tailed, right-tailed, or two-tailed. Explain your reasoning.
- Conduct the test, showing all calculations and whether you reject or accept the null hypothesis. Explain what the result means. (example in chapter 7)
- Discuss your thoughts on the decision in part d. What is your conclusion, based on the test results?
