Evaluation of “I Have a Dream” by Martin Luther King Jr.
On the 28th of August 1963, Dr King addressed an audience of more than 200,000 at the Lincoln Memorial. All these individuals were gathered to listen to him as he was a man who always spoke and fought for the civil rights of everybody from all the diverse cultures and races. This speech became one of the most remarkable speeches in history as it was intended on ending separation and acquiring fair rights for every man, woman and child of all racial settings. The speech was also emotional and King made his point clear that racism is not morally acceptable and everyone needs to be equally treated among the rest. This essay critically evaluates King's speech and establishes why the speech was successful.
