The topic I am writing about is the desegregation/integration processes of Mississippi's individual community and junior colleges. I'm specifically looking at: Who were the 1st African American students? What did they go through during the integration process?

I need an annotated bibliography looking at scholarly, peer reviewed journal articles to add background information for my topic. 

I need articles that specifically address the following:

Community Colleges’ History- Laws responsible for establishing them, Purposes of community colleges, How Mississippi’s structure differs from that of other states (has to come from scholarly work, not the school's website).

Education for African Americans during the Jim Crow Era in Mississippi

Court cases, laws, and movements that affected every aspect of African Americans’ lives but specifically education in Mississippi (Plessy v. Ferguson, Brown v. Board of Education, Civil Rights Movement etc.)

I need 5 articles. 

Each entry should have the following:

1. The complete citation- APA 6th edition

2.A summary of the article, including results- 2 complete paragraphs about the study/work. Be certain to note which theories/theorists being used (If any). Write a sentence about how the theory has been applied.

3. Their Conclusions & My Conclusions- brief author's conclusion, and recommendations for future research
My Conclusions- a bullet point per question
      a. most important take aways
      b. questions the study left unanswered
      c. what could be done differently
      d. how can the design be strengthened 

5. An ending short paragraph stating how this work is-or may be relevant to my own project. ( for example,  Would it be good for background information, etc.)

Each entry should be no less than 3/4 page single spaced, and should be written in a scholarly tone. No use of the letter "I"
