Competition in the fast-food business industry is very fierce. As such, the company’s constantly test and roll-out strategies that allow them to compete favorably. Dunkin Donuts Company has been faced with increasingly tough competition given McDonald’s Corp decision to join in providing breakfast for customers. As such, Dunkin Donuts has started a process to overhaul its business model in order to maintain a competitive edge in the first food business. Dunkin Donuts strategy is two-pronged. First, Dunkin Donuts is focused on rebranding to Dunkin. Second, the company intends to focus more on its strength-breakfast (Patton, 2016).
