Literature Review

Education is one of the main areas that are perceived to lead to success. Many students, therefore, after completing their high school education often look forward to joining college, However, due to the lack of sufficient preparation, a number of students usually end up dropping out of school. Understanding that it is important to prepare the students for the rigorous work that is offered at the college level is part of the success strategies that can be implemented. Renzulli (2015) in her article emphasizes that the rate of college dropouts can be reduced in the event that better strategies are employed to ensure that the students stay in school. Essentially, based on the outcome of her research study, Renzulli (2015) recommends the use of a diverse set of advising strategies that will, in essence, encourage the rate of student success rates in the contemporary world. Prior preparation, however, remains one of the primary focuses of the article.
