Sport Psychology interventions are useful in helping individuals obtain the most out of their exercise experience and also uphold a healthy lifestyle. As a sports psychologist, I would make several recommendations and interventions for Laura to enable her exercise effectively and obtain her desired results of a healthy lifestyle. One recommendation would be in observing her nutritional intake by ensuring adequate nutritional practices and daily recommendations such as taking the right amounts of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and proper hydration (Van Raalte & Brewer, 2014). Nutritional intake has a crucial role in optimizing training performance in individuals and the recommendations will enable Laura to observe proper nutrition.

I would also recommend Laura to reflect on herself and establish her goals of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. By self-reflection, she will assess her needs and gain momentum to exercise daily and be positive in life (Swann, Keegan, Piggott & Crust, 2012). Additionally, setting goals will enable her to have a purpose for training and be determined to attain the goals. This will also inspire her to overcome any form of challenges that she encounters during training. Self-reflection and goal setting work on most individuals and they will work on Laura too.
