(1) How has caring for Herbie changed Julie and Ed’s lives in positive and negative ways? How has it affected their children in positive and negative ways?

(2) Comment on the following statement made by Julie. “I’ve already told my kids, I’m going to move in with you someday. I hope you don’t mind because I’m coming. I’d much rather be with my kids than be with a bunch of strangers in a facility."  Respond to this statement and discuss what you would like to do if you needed long term care.  Compare your response with what you have learned from the text or additional resources.
