# Just tell them waht do you think about their topic. 5-6 sentence for each feedback.

1. My technical speech I decided to do on a beautification process (which may gross some people out), how to properly do your eyebrows. I decided to do this cringe topic to expose once specific unfiltered process which we do very often to build our confidence. The way I grab the audience's attention is by giving a thorough explanation of the tools needed, and the way to properly shape and trim your eyebrows. I will explain that, with being limited on going to get your eyebrows done with the pandemic, you can do them just as well at home with a few simple tools. This saves money and time. What makes my delivery come alive is the raw footage of me engaging in this process and confidence when explaining how to perform it effectively.

What I learned from reading the main text, Public Speaking: Practice and Ethics, is that it's very beneficial when practicing a speech or performance. This is one area that I would like to enhance my public speaking skills in. I like to do a lot of my speaking in an improve style with main points, but realized that I can be more confident when performing if I rehearse what I want to say. It's easy being behind a camera having several takes as it is for actors behind a camera. As for being live, it is compared to theatrical acting, and a lot of rehearsing has to be done for the one time live performance. This is something I would like to practice to build a more confident delivery.

2. My technical speech is about Surya Namaskar, which is also known as Sun Salutation or Salute to the Sun. It is a practice in yoga as exercise that combines 12 different asanas in a sequence. I chose this topic because I think we must exercise daily in order to stay active and healthy. In the video, I will be showing the combination of 12 asanas. I will also be explaining a bit about every asana, how to accurately perform the asana, its proper body position, breathing techniques, etc. I will also be explaining about Surya Namaskar and its origin, the mantras associated to it. I will also be explaining how it is helpful to our body and some other details. I think an introduction to Surya Namaskar, its origin and explanation of Vedic-Hindu solar deity Surya(Sun) would be an interesting way to start the video. I think explaining my content naturally and confidently is the key to making the delivery come alive.

For me to be a confident speaker, I need to know the topic I am explaining properly. So, having good knowledge about the topic I am talking about and good practice is one of the way to be a confident speaker. Another one would be to encourage myself and think that what I am talking about is important and valued.

3. I decided to do a technical speech on how to properly maintain a healthy head of hair. I believe my speech needed to be supported with a visible client so that I could model how it should look and feel. using my autistic son further shows how the speech can be implemented in every day life. I will show how to use a blow dryer and a hooded dryer to make it technical and not simply informative. I chose this topic because I've been performing these tasks almost half of my life and I believe I can help an audience member with just one small tip on how to properly apply heat to the hair. I had to prepare the correct camera angle to properly convey the demo presented with my speech.

I loved how the book addressed ethics specific to information honesty because I shouldn't have to feel as though I need to look up and cross reference each fact used in someone's speech. I also expect someone to give credit to the proper people by citing information and not merely using it as their own. I would like to strengthen my confidence in how eloquently I speak.
