Patient Safety and Satisfaction

Service delivery in the American healthcare system has become an area of concern for many in the medical field. The quality of service, in essence, has been deteriorating and thus creating the need to have the situation addressed as poor quality healthcare has contributed to many of the healthcare issues that continue to be faced today (Mays, & Pope, 2000). Ideally, a majority of the cases that emerge with regard to the quality of services rendered in healthcare are avoidable. This is such that, these cases are usually as a result of medical errors which can be eliminated with the proper administration of healthcare services. As a consequence, the safety of the patients is thus compromised and to a given extent, the entire well-being of their health is jeopardized especially in the event that the treatment of the patients is compromised due to poor quality.
