Discussion Question 1
Job interview can be a terrifying experience, and my worst encounter happened recently during an interview for a management level position. I asked a candidate why she thought she was the most qualified for the position and the response was, ‘I am the only woman in a group of ten men, therefore I should selected for the position’. This response intrigued me as a member of the panel since I was anticipating the candidate to expound on her personal attributes in relation to the position.
Discussion Question 2
My first week working for Dyson Limited was full of new experiences and exposure. My focus was learning as much as I could and familiarizing with the company culture as fast as possible. Despite challenges in streamlining my daily transport routes to work, I always ensured that I was at my desk on time. I had swiftly made two friends who had been working for the company for over five years and would always consult and ask all manner of questions about Dyson. My biggest concern, however, was understanding what the manager expected of me in my new position.
