• Abstracts should include a summary of your proposed topic, as well as a summary of sources that you will likely use.
• Topic Examples: Iraq war, 9/11 attack, Pearl Harbor attack, etc.

Students will be required to prepare a 12-15 page final research paper on a topic related to Intelligence. This paper should make use of assigned readings and class discussions, as well as independent research. Students will also have to present to the class on their topic. This paper should be analytical in nature, and address an important Intelligence theme. Topics may include (but not limited to):  intelligence failures, moral and ethical issues with intelligence collection (i.e. bulk collection of data), covert actions, reform (to include the creation of the DNI position), or most significant counterintelligence failures.
