Leadership Philosophy Paper
Description: A leadership philosophy is a purposeful and concise work of one’s core beliefs about leadership. Philosophies should be sincere, memorable, applicable to that of a church pastor, scriptural, based on course materials, and written in the first person.
The student’s personal definition of leadership, include the StrengthsFinder results (my top five StrengthsFinder results include the strengths of 1. Futuristic, 2. Relator, 3. Disciplined, 4. Deliberative 5. Analytical), beliefs about authority and your personal approach to meeting the four basic needs that a church congregation needs in a good leader (which include 1. Building Trust, 2. Showing Compassion, 3. Provide Stability, 4. Create hope).
The philosophy must give evidence of deep personal thought and authentic, genuine expression. The ideas are original and well developed, reflecting contemplation of course readings.
The philosophy expresses an authentic and coherent set of principles that permeate the author’s stated views of leadership. All ideas work together to support the stated principles.
The philosophy includes at least two concrete ideas from the Biblical Scriptures to support the students understanding of the principles.
The philosophy properly cites at least three-course resources to support content.
The philosophy utilizes proper MLA format, is clear and concise, well organized, and easy for the reader to follow. The paper must be a minimum of 1200 words and must contain contemplative content with absolutely no fluff.
