Both leadership and management are invaluable concepts in an organization and while both almost border on the same lanes, the terms have been used synonymously yet they mean different things. This essay will compare ‘leadership’ and ‘management’ as organizational concepts. Herein, legendary leaders such as Aristotle, Martin Luthor, and Bill gates take the role of representing the Great man leadership, behavioral and situational leadership.

Leadership refers to the process of guiding people into inspiration by making them follow the mentor. Management, on the other hand, refers to the act of making employees work for the lead person (manager). Therefore, in its broadest sense, leadership comprises making employees work towards goals and visions set for the organization while management entails administering and ensuring employees work as scheduled. The two terms are therefore two sides of the same coin. Also, managers deploy an authoritarian style while leaders use a motivational technique when leading employees.
