I have found some reference material examining certain metrics used by schools to target their audience.  Some metrics from CSG about demographics of doctoral students.  Some information I have found is from Europe.  The purpose of the study is to identify current trends in doctorate program selection by potential students.  Every student has several things to ″weigh″ when choosing a doctoral program:  cost, time, internet/classroom, scholarly contribution of graduates (published contributions on subject matter within the field of study), reputation of school, school entry requirements, etc.  My cursory finding is three distinct factors:  overall cost, and success rate (many doctorate programs have a high success rate of students passing all course material but fail to receive a doctorate degree because of their dissertation).

This is chapter two of the dissertation.

The thesis statement is:  What factors do graduate students examine when choosing a graduate program?

It is very important to keep the literature review on task, focused, and relevant to the subject matter.

This needs a minimum of 10 (ten) references in APA format.  Include DOI's or "Retireved from ..."  Any questions please ask.

The importance of this is very high, there fore adequate time is available.
