Assignment: For DSA#3, your paper will be based on the completion of two worksheets: 1) Living Wage Analysis; and 2) Poverty Budget Analysis. Make sure to complete the first worksheet prior to completing the second one. Although you do not need to upload the completed worksheets, please use the data from those worksheets in your paper (see more explanation below).

You can access the worksheets within the DSA#3 folder (inside Assessment/ Assignments). You can also access them in Content/Week 4. I recommend printing these out. Again, you will not submit the completed worksheets but the findings of your analyses from the worksheets will be the basis of your paper.

For your paper, 1,000-word minimum, discuss your findings with some details, reflect on the challenges that low-income families face, and incorporate several of the key concepts from Chapter 9 (examples: social class, social stratification, social mobility, etc.).

I suggest that your introductory paragraph establish a strong connection to the key concepts in Chapter 9. Then develop 2-3 body paragraphs discussing in some detail your findings from the worksheets. Finally, write a concluding paragraph that is reflective in tone. Keep in mind that millions of families live within that gap between the living wage and the minimum wage.
