Patient Consent

All the patients are entitled to informed consent before undergoing risky procedures. Informed consent necessitates the physicians to reveal all the possible dangers, benefits and another possibility of the procedures to the patient. The patient should be informed whether there are two or more options for the treatment of proposed surgery and choose from the available treatment options once they have been informed of the risks, benefits, and alternatives ( Cordasco, 2013) . The diagnosis of the patient should also be informed in addition to the nature and purpose of the treatment or surgical procedures. All the reasonable alternatives should be communicated and the risks and benefits of the treatment.
