PERT and Gantt charts are used considerably in the process of breaking projects into minute tasks. As such, the two tools are necessary to highlight the scheduling constraints. For project managers, the use of the two instruments is to develop insight into the progress of the projects. Nonetheless, many disparities between PERT and Gantt chart and directly influence the selection process of a project manager. Consequently, the need for real-time representation of each activity is necessary to develop insight into the project implementation process.
