Please write response to the following post, one page for each post. 2:Christopherson’s put in-place a two-stage research program. The first stage was based on exploratory research in attempts to better understand camper owner, as well as the importance of RV chassis. This stage was based from certain questions that may be particularly important to the consumer, and useful, if answered, for the company. For example, “what are the problems with campers?”, and “is the reason for buying a camper different from that of buying a motor home?”. I believe this method of exploratory research is very productive because it will answer questions that will be beneficial for future customer satisfaction. The company is understanding what the camper owner wants and the importance of their needs. Next, the second stage involves large-scale telephone or personal interviews with RV owners. These interviews will provide a personal perspective on specific aspects that RV owners deal with. This includes their thoughts and feeling about certain products and whether it is satisfactory or not. This gives an “inside-scoop” about what products are the best for the consumer. This will be very beneficial for the company, so they can produce products that RV owners would want produced. They discover if there is truly a demand for the product. 4.There is a wide variety of potential errors to consider in the marketing research and design implantation. When looking at the second stage of Christopherson research program, the data is gathered via telephone. The telephone interview can accumulate many different problems, one being that many questions or answered can be misinterpreted by either party. Communication by telephone can cause for faulty answers and unclear responses. Therefore, I suggest making all interviews and surveys online. By converting to this method, it eliminates for all mistakes that may arise when interviewing by telephone. Questions are read more carefully and are read at the interviewee’s own pace. I believe that it will also create more honest and legitimate answers because people will feel less pressured than by “on-the-spot” interviews on the telephone. This will hopefully eliminate all the errors that telephones create, and another way would be to convert to online interviews. By using Skype, people could interview on reliable Wi-Fi service and have a personal one-on-one interview that will be completely legitimate. ------------------------------------------------ #2 Christopherson proposed the two-stage research program. The first steps of this program are formulated a clear research objective and to specify in detail the information needed. The second step of this program was focus on collecting customers’ feedback after the real experience of RV through large-scale telephone and personal interviews. The two-stage research program will help Christopherson understand RV industry including the caper segment and different type of RV including travel trailer, motor homes, slide- camper, and RV accessories. For the focus group interview, the main propose is figuring out customers’ demand. Meanwhile, he uses the focus group for doing research will help the deeper digging into the real customer information. This step is to understand their customer including the source of demand, and real experience, potential customers, and supporting facility. Through this research program, Christopherson would finish the preparation work in understanding a market. Meanwhile, I also suggest to him that he should also do some research about competitor and market growth space in RV industry. As for the specific method, I would suggest him us SWOT analysis market distributions. The SWOT graph includes the four aspects that strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threat. This would help him positional and understand RV business. #4 It might have potential sources of errors in the research design and implementation. What we can find that the second step of Christopherson research program is through interview and telephone. However, several aspects including time, personal feeling, and location, and communication limited the process of this research. Different aspects might easy affect the result of research. For example, the different communication way will get a different result. A bad mood searcher on the telephone would affect their customer’s responsibility. Meanwhile, the response also might have the potential error. I would suggest him use the online research survey. That is because the online research survey is a more flexible way of doing research. At the same time, the survey design should need be design be targeted. The professional searcher would help him figure out the value information for finding out the target market and customer feedback. The research survey should also be launching in the real customer source.
