Process
1.After each weeks topic record in your Reflective Journal your immediate responses to the learning materials and class activities. Reflect on your insights, new understandings, areas of interest or confusion, questions as well as issues that may have arisen for you personally or professionally. I will attach each will attach each weeks lecture, you are then required to write a brief journal for the topic that week about thoughts and as stated above. Once you have gone through all the topics for the weeks and collated a journal of thoughts, please write the below (critically reflective essay). I will attach the a text book for reference too. Please only use scholar articles no wikipedia, only authentic sources.

2.From your journal draw out essential themes and write a  critically reflective essay (1,000 words) on your learning journey in this unit. Submit your journal and essay as part of the assignment.  There is no word limit to the journal – the word limit only applies to your reflective essay.

3.A minimum of 10 references are required for the critically reflective essay is required.

Marking criteria (out of 100%):
Ability to engage with and reflect meaningfully on the sessions and your responses  (30%)
Clear identification of themes in the literature relating to addictions counselling  (20%)
Evidence of critical analysis and the literature referred to in the essay  (15%)
Understanding of the literature/sources discussed and their applications to practice  (20%)
Good use of references from research, concise, formal writing style suitable for the academic context and appropriate use of APA conventions for referencing (15%). Assignment must be  + or – 10% of the word range and a with a minimum of 10 references
