Introduction

The community that surrounds schools is of great importance. This is because the communities play a significant role in ensuring that there is sufficient help to meet the needs of the students and even the district at large. School communities are primarily based within the smaller scale while the district communities cover a larger scope. In essence, the importance of either cannot be overlooked as each serves to ensure that the region covered receives maximum support and help in various areas. This paper will in particular focus on the health and education services that are offered within the school and district-based community level in Albany New York for the school community level and New York City for the district community level. This will be addressed through the use of an annotated directory and analysis of community resources and advocacy.
