I chose to read the article servant leadership by Mittal and Dorman because the authors elaborate the concept of servant leadership in a much-diversified way. Through my service in the field of higher education, I find motivation by helping the veteran students understand how to overcome the challenges as they transition out of the military and engage in higher learning. Knowledge of servant leadership can help teachers and other professionals in the learning institutions gain a propensity to be empathetic (Mittal& Dorfman, October 2012). It brings credible accountability for the services offered to people in the learning environments.
