Modern Slavery

The Transatlantic trade is perhaps the most common slave practice that historians accord to. However, modern times with all its advancements bears little evidence to prove that the slave trade is non-existent among the people today. Evidence ranging from researched literature to national headlines proves that the modern slave trade (defined as any exploitation of an individual that encompasses forced labor, trafficking, and/or lack of freedom), is a gnawing rodent that still feeds on the masses. This essay seeks to argue that the modern slave trade is still a phenomenon among us while also analyzing its effects, wrongfulness, and remedy.
