Introduction

The psychology of religion is concerned with the reason why people hold different views about religion and assessment of people’s religious behaviors. When a person starts to develop reasoning capacity, he/she starts to view religion differently from what was programmed in his/her mind when young. As such, the way people view religion starts to differ, leading them to perform differently in terms of spirituality. There is a need, thus, to delve into the factors that cause variation in people’s religiosity by carrying out deep analytical and empirical study on people. The main question the research will aim at answering is: what causes disparities in religious and thus spiritual strength among people? The study will be based on two aspects namely, genetics and culture. The following is the dissection of the foci points of the research in terms of past literature, research gaps, and methods of measurement.
