Students will read “Reflections of a Domestic Violence Prosecutor: Suggestions for Reform” written by Michelle Kaminsky (2012), write a 4-6 page reflection of the book AND research a program and/or policy that relates to the problem addressed in the book. The policy and/or program does not need to be based in Fresno, in California, or even in the United States. The policy/program can be from anywhere, but it must be current. The book review should also integrate and analyze the material that is covered during the course. It should not be a book review regarding the quality of the writing, editing, plot line, or other aspects of the quality of the book. Any paper that is a summary, or a reflection that does not integrate material learned in class AND research a program and/or policy that seeks to address the victimization in the book will NOT be accepted for this assignment and the student will receive a maximum of half credit (100 points).
Minimum Requirements: The reflection paper must be a minimum of four (4) full pages double-spaced, one inch margins on all sides, using appropriate grammar and spelling.
