This data analysis tool is commonly used to measure the correlation between two variables, in this case, stress management techniques and burnout/ job satisfaction. This test would allow me to see different perspectives of the study, assess what the data reports, and conduct a comprehensive analysis of the varying factors leading to burnout. For example, using the Pearson’s R correlation coefficient I would also be able to evaluate how burnout affects the health and well-being of nurses by selecting variables related to negative health impacts commonly experienced in high-stress workplace environments.

In a study by Keith (2023), evaluating burnout in pathologists in a Canadian laboratory, researchers also utilized the Pearson test. A study about EEG electrode movement conducted by Maulana et al., (2023) also used the Pearson correlation coefficient for data analysis. The Pearson correlation coefficient provides valuable insights into the relationships between variables and enables researchers to make evidence-based recommendations for improving well-being and job satisfaction.
