Professional paper Reference with citation 200-250 word only Please reply to the below When organisations grow globally, they not only need to recognise the purpose, vision, priorities, policy and objectives of an organisation, but also have to take into account the problems of political, legal, economic, and environmental/ethical implications of operating an international business. In diverse legal options, ethics problems are mixed, and local customs and standards bring another dimension of difficulty to the question of how to behave both legally and ethically in an unfamiliar setting. As businesses plan a long-term expansion into a global world, to make a venture a success, they have to overcome significant moral and ethical problems and decision-making. Some of the most common ethical issues in international business include outsourcing, working standards and conditions, workplace diversity and equal opportunity, child labour, trust and integrity, supervisory oversight, human rights, religion, the political arena, the environment, bribery and corruption. Child labour is a highly important issue. Managers from a Western multinational would not even think about recruiting children in their home country since it would be unethical as well as disrespectful to the community's common sense. However, in some developing economies, child labour is normal and even necessary for the child's subsistence. Lieten (2003) states that in its thirst for higher income, global corporations raise demand for export products; the industry substitutes adults with cheaper child labour. Corruption is also an important implication due to illicit bribery and payoffs to government officials to exploit new markets, illegally pollute countries and gain massive contracts at absurdly high costs, some multinational companies have grown wealthier and more efficient. Coomer (2013) asserts many of these influential multinational corporations are run by corporate greed, and to increase profits have abused the wealth, economies, industries, and whole countries of citizens. Is anybody in a position to provide any examples of multinational corporations that have used bribery in their growth?
